For many years Michael and I have been having a July 4th party and this year was no different. We had a great gathering of good friends—way too much good food—an all around good time!
The weather cooperated with cooler temperatures, the sun was shining and the shaded back yard was the perfect spot for our celebration. Michael is feeling well—something else to celebrate.
Geoff and Nancy have a new puppy, Shine, a labra doodle who is absolutely adorable! 14 weeks of total mischief!! Emmi thought he was OK for a while and even played with Shine but then play time ended and she became very grumpy as in “leave me alone, kid, stay away from my Mom and Dad kid or I’m gonna give it to you!!” Emmi is very attached to Michael and me but she even sought solace from Shirley tonight!
Food was outstanding—Jill and Nancy brought delicious salads, Robyn and Shirley appetizers and Boo brought blueberry cobbler and brownies to go with our homemade ice cream. Hamburgers, baked beans—you get the picture—we are stuffed!!
