More Quilts And A Pinterest Recipe

These quilts belong to my friend Mary P. back in Montana—she received the quilts and loved them as did I!!

Spring break starts soon and maybe even this weekend according to the young woman in the convenience store.  We took advantage of the lull taking a drive out to the island and back around through Corpus Christi.  We’ve been warned—stay clear of Padre Island during spring break and we are heeding those warnings!  Our walk on the beach today, no one else around except for a couple fishermen was restful and peaceful.

Michael took the leaking tire off the jeep and hauled it to the repair shop.  I ironed work shirts and applied his Montana flag patches on the sleeves.  Mom worked on the applique portion of our Easter bunny wall hangings.

IMG_6269One of Michael and Rollie’s projects yesterday—lights on the golf cart—Rollie was driving around in the dark last night testing those lights out!

IMG_6268Look Gina—I finished my little needle punch embroidery snowman I started while we were driving down in the motorhome to Texas.

Dinner tonight was outstanding!!!  I used this recipe from Pinterest, Cajun Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and it was so good!  Not low calorie by any stretch of the imagination, but delicious!

  1. You did a fantastic job on those quilts.

On Question did the boys put tail lights on the golf cart. Seeing where you are going is good but if someone driving a car doesn't see the cart you loose.

    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  4. Your quilting is stunning...love the feathers of the side!!
Question...how did you do the wee wonky stitchings on the log cabin quilt? Did you do this on your long arm or fancy stitch on your regular machne...very effective!!

  5. Beautiful quilts Janna!!!!!!

Thanks again for another really good sounding recipe. I am going to have to try this one. I thought it was interesting about the gunk they put on pre shredded cheese to stop it from clumping together.

  6. I use to do needle punch embroidery MANY years ago, as well as, needlepoint. But, I don't have a lot of use for some things but needle punch I could use...new bathroom rug, kitchen rug, entry rug!! Then, when they get dirty, through them away. A great idea. So glad you sparked this again.

Beautiful quilts! I am not a quilter but have a good friend that is so I appreciate the work and time.

Just checked out your blog after reading a comment on ours. Thanks for following along.

I'm sorry you missed the free standing arch in Hidden Canyon. This was one of our missions for this hike. I would much rather scramble rocks than walk ledges.
