We woke to tiny snowflakes drifting down then the blizzard started—our walk was a little brisk to say the least. Michael plowed the snow away from the house and garage as we have guests coming tonight—this afternoon the sun came out.
Grey capped rosy finches come visiting every year about this time in droves. My friend and neighbor up the road, Nancy, must have better bird seed than me this year because my “drove” is a little less this winter and her flock is huge. I still bet we have 25-30 of these birds cleaning out the feeder every day!
Tonight we had a Christmas gathering of our East/West Boulder friends: Nancy and Geoff, George and Shirley, Claire and Robyn, Boo and Terry. We had appetizer type food—cold shrimp, cheese, etc. The company was great, a wonderful evening.
Emmi went from person to person with her duck entertaining everyone with her antics. The breeder where we got Emmi sent us an email the other day—she has puppies, one really small like Emmi. The thought was tempting but I got over the need REALLY quickly!
oh come on now!!..Emmi would love a brother or a sister!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree, a sibling would be great for Emmi. Besides, The Bayfield Bunch has two so you deserve two as well ☺☺☺
ReplyDeleteOkay, I don't believe Emmi could handle a sibling. She is an extremely spoiled only child.LOL
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice get together. Wish we could have been there too. You and Mike have some of the best neighbors anyone could ever hope for. Please pass on a Very Merry Christmas to them all from Gina and I.
Love and Hugs,
Rollie & Gina
I agree with Rollie lol. She is an only child type of dog. sounds like a great evening. I wish you guys were coming to Arizona this winter. I miss you.

I'd sure like to see some of those rosy finches, but don't think I'd like the weather in order to do that.
