This storm blew in about lunch time and at times we could hardly see the motorhome from the house.
Michael worked on our road with the enclosed backhoe and Emmi slept and slept. I think we should join her, it is a good day for sleeping!
I played with the longarm, adjusting the wheels hoping to give me more control when I start Caryl’s quilt. Loaded a practice piece and practiced the art of McTavishing—a custom quilting technique I’ve never tried but have always wanted to. It is the right technique to use on this quilt of Caryl’s. After practicing I came back upstairs and watched Karen McTavish’s video hoping to gain some more pointers.
This evening we drove into town on snow packed and icy roads to have dinner at the Grand with Jill and Terry. A very enjoyable evening with good friends!
Why is it so difficult to take a decent photo for Christmas cards?? I set up the tripod, we grabbed the dog and took some photos out on the deck with the snow covered trees in the background. ONE photo was partially acceptable and it’s not the greatest. We will try again Sunday!
Love the two photos in the snow today! The top one with the red in the bushes is amazing. With weather like we are having, heading to warmer places cannot come soon enough, huh?
ReplyDeleteTrying to get the right picture is the fun part! Especially when it was me, my husband, 3 dogs, and 2 cats! That was a hoot! We would just laugh and laugh as we looked at all the photo choices. The out of control ones were the best!!
ReplyDeletegood luck with the Christmas Card photo!..now as for the poor motorhome?..looks a bit out of place in the snowstorm!..time to get the heck out of Montana!!
ReplyDeleteTalked to my sister in Helena and it was snowing so hard she couldn't see across her yard. She can hardly wait to fly out on Monday and get down her to AZ. It's cold down here (low 60's) but no snow. We haven't had any luck with a picture for a Christmas card either.
ReplyDeleteChristmas Cards always look better with a Saguaro in the background, come on down!
ReplyDeleteGood luck getting the perfect Christmas Card picture. Stay warm and dry. We're expecting some of that storm today and tomorrow. Larder's full. Generator has gas, bring 'er on!!
ReplyDeleteYou have to admit the first couple of snow falls is pretty and fresh...then I usually am sick of it because I know whats coming for a few months..we all need to haul out and get our MHs in the sunshine...we're expecting flurries today also..:(
ReplyDeleteYour snow pics look terrific - especially from down here in the desert!!
ReplyDeleteI sure hope you keep that snow in your neck of the woods. I dread the thought of seeing it here. It's nice to watch the snow falling but then I want it gone quickly. Hope you get somewhere warm soon.
ReplyDeleteIt's easy to understand the desire to leave the white stuff. Snow always looks great from far away!
ReplyDeleteThe short answer to that question is a definite NO!
