Thank You

Our hearts are filled with gratitude for all the many blogging friends we have who’ve left such comforting comments—it’s a blessing for which we are so grateful.

Global warming—not in Montana this year!  7 degrees with wind and snow as I type this blog.  We drove into town today having lunch with Lonn and the gang at Nat’s so he could be told about LoraLee’s passing.  The roads are miserable—snow packed and icy with blowing snow.

Yesterday evening we were getting ready to go to a Super Bowl party at the home of friends Leslie and Ken.  When we stopped down at the shed to remove the chains from the truck tires, Michael slipped and fell, striking his head against the steel frame of the flatbed on our truck.  He has a laceration on his ear and behind his ear plus a really sore spot where his head hit the frame.  His wrists and shoulder are sore and achy—he must have caught himself as he was falling.  The cowboy has retired his cowboy boots until we get back to Arizona.Smile

IMG_9878IMG_9881Shots I took as we drove over to Lonn and LoraLee’s on Saturday.

I think the cowboy is on dinner cooking duty again tonight—popcorn??

  1. Definitely need to get some cleats for those cowboy boots. Hope he feels better tomorrow.

  2. Michael needs 'chains' for those boots. Hope his aches and pains go away soon. Hugs as you go through this tough time in your lives. Turned colder here in AZ to highs in mid 60's. Come back and bring warmer weather!!!

  7. Seems to be a lot of us guys slipping these days and smacking our heads - good thing we're hard-headed. Might have to start wearing a helmet.

  8. Good idea to retire those Cowboy boots for the winter. I wore Cowboy boots a couple years back in the late 60's. No traction in the winter time for sure. Think what somebody needs to do is make Cowboy boots with newer modern hiking boot gription on the bottom. Couple days ago while dong some rock scrambling I remarked to Kelly how hard it must have been for folks back in the old days of hard flat bottomed boots to clamber over any kind of rocky surface. Especially if it was wet. Maybe time to move some of those old boot designs into modern times...........

  9. Sheesh! That cold and snow sure makes life miserable at times. Slips and slides and falls add to the aches and pains we do not care for! Hope Mike heals quickly!
