Nothing To Talk About

Just one of those days—we slept in, which is a good thing for us two early risers—what are people doing in RV parks at 3am slamming doors???  I was awake at that time removing those blasted wraps on my legs and someone is outside slamming rig and vehicle doors.  Rollie said he heard someone yelling just after 2pm.

I’ve quilted all day except for a quick run to Wal Mart this afternoon.  Walked Emmi and played ball of course.

We had some sad, sad news from home today—our friend and neighbor Roger died of a heart attack last night.  He and Michael kind of grew up together, Roger’s family moved to our valley in 1949—when Michael was 4 years old.

I am off to quilt some more as my husband won’t be home until midnight—that’s the price you pay for sleeping in! Smile

Over on Judy’s  Travels With Emma her grandson’s teacher came up with an ingenious idea!  She has the kids sending “Flat Joey” around the world.  Seems a bulletin board fell on him and flattened him.  Now he is being sent to people like Judy with instructions, “Grandma, please take Flat Joey on some adventures then send him back to us.”  What a great idea!

  1. so sorry to hear about your friend..life is short, indeed!
as for Flat Joey?..he is kind of like our 'Bart'!..his adventures may not seem that exciting but there are adventures all the same!

  2. Yes, "FLAT JOEY' has been making his way around Tombstone. Annette's granddaughter from Washington state sent him to her & she has been to the Ok Corral, pictures with the cowboys &, stagecoachs. He caused quite a stir.

  3. We had the privilege of hosting a "Flat Stanley" a few years ago for a cousin's child. Same story, bulletin board fell on him and flattened him out. We took him to the beach at Grand Haven, MI where we live and also to the power plant my husband works at. It was great fun!

  5. I've always found it rather interesting to hear what goes on in an RV park in the middle of the night. Not that I'm often up and around that often but when I am it seems there are others out and about. I often wonder what they are doing and why?
