I Could Freeze Ice

In the quilting trailer that is!  Yesterday was very warm and it was down right hot in my trailer!  So, my sweet husband set out to install the little air conditioner we bought at Costco the end of summer.  YIKES—now the trailer has a hole in it!IMG_5491IMG_5492At lunchtime Rollie set the thermostat to “freeze” and after lunch that’s exactly what is was—freezing!  I shall be quite comfortable!

For lunch we had leftover chicken and pork tenderloin along with broccoli, green beans, leftover pinto beans, grilled pineapple and corn on the cob.  Rollie visited the Commissary yesterday and purchased a bunch of fresh veggies—very good ones, too!

After lunch the guys started on Rollie’s jeep—fixing the locks on the doors so Rollie can now lock the jeep without having to then unlock the back door and crawl through to unlock the other doors.  They were just two Mr. Fix It’s today!

While the guys were working outside, I was washing dishes and noticed this red Dodge dually pulling up in front of our motorhome and getting very close to the motorhome.  I could see a woman was driving and was thinking, “why is that woman getting so close to the front of our rig???”  Then I realized the guy who had gotten out was Larry—and his wife Geri was the driver!  They had heard we were in the area, got on the blog, found which RV park we were staying in and drove over to find us today.  Larry and Geri used to own Broken Arrow Campground in Custer, SD—they now full time with a toy hauler, ATV’s, a motorcycle, etc.! Smile  It was great to see them.  The photo doesn’t do any of them justice—should have taken two!

I went to church this morning at the Aransas Pass United Methodist—a very pleasant and welcoming experience.  Another good day in Texas.

  1. I'm so glad Gerri and Larry found you! If you see them again, give them big hugs from us. Your place is really coming together, lots getting done. What a deal that Rollie can shop the commissary. Hugs to all!

  2. Sounds like a productive day! We have benn to Broken Arrow many times and think Larry & Geri are great people... we were sad for us when they sold it but happy for them!
    Have fun

  3. Nice job on the air-conditioner. I shudder every time I think about cutting into the outside of an RV.
