Quilts and Billings Clinic

Baby QuiltIMG_2852IMG_2856Last week Ashley and Parker welcomed their new baby Jolee Adair to their family.  Gina and Rollie are over the moon with the birth of this second grandchild.  This is the quilt I made as a gift for the new baby.  I am a very decisive person about all things—when I go in a quilt store with a pattern I am quick to chose fabric.  I struggled with the color scheme of this quilt but once I got going, I think the colors worked very well.  Not your typical “pink” baby girl quilt but still very feminine.  I’m thrilled they all loved the quilt!!

Another trip to Billings—sometimes for a brief moment I wonder if we should live in Billings!!!  But no, where we live is way too beautiful!  Today Michael had an appointment with his rheumatologist, Dr. Bolding at Billings Clinic.  On Saturday he had his pre-appointment blood work drawn at Billings Clinic West.  Today when we arrived part of his lab work was missing—the one test the doctor needed to see if his meds were working was missing.  The lab work stated, “specimen rejected.”  OK, fine, the specimen clotted or something but why didn’t someone call the doctor’s office, why didn’t someone call us—we could have gotten blood drawn again.  Billings Clinic, you dropped the ball today—we drive 100 miles one way and we get, “specimen rejected.”  GRRRRR

We had a great lunch at Jake’s before going to the clinic.  After the doctor visit we did the usual Costco and Wal Mart runs.  Emmi had stayed with Nat—we stopped and retrieved her before going home to unload and relax.

  7. Not being a quilt expert, it sure looked like there was a great deal of detail (thought too) involved in making it.
