Six Miles and Super Bowl Sunday

Well, Jim, Deb and Rod have gone into withdrawal, another football season has ended.  We had a great time at Jim and Ellie’s this afternoon.  Jim did a shrimp boil with shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausages—spicy and so good!  Deb provided garlic bread for which she made her very own delicious garlic butter.  Gina baked a chocolate pie and Jim a pecan pie.  I supplied the pre-game appetizers.  Once again, we ate and ate--IMG_5751 IMG_5749 IMG_5747 Now, are we roughing it or what??

Gina and I snuck away right after the game started for a few minutes—Kim and Don were parked up the way from us and I wanted to see some of her quilting—I took along a couple of mine to show her, too.  We had a nice, short little visit, they are thinking of moving on tomorrow or the next day.

Michael took Emmi and me on a six mile walk this morning in preparation for all that food he knew we were going to be eating this afternoon!

Another great day in the desert with good friends!  Happy Birthday to my dear friend Jeane!

  4. Wow! I thought we did pretty good here with our Carrot Cake and Pumpkin Pie for the Super Bowl. But, I would gladly have traded 2 pieces for just one of your Pecan pie!!
