One forgotten Tucson fact—the wind blows and blows, at times hard! Last night the wind blew, hard and was still blowing this morning when we started up Brown Mountain hanging onto our hats and Emmi! That is a great hike—with a 400-500 feet elevation gain from the campground—gets the blood pumping and makes my calves sore!
Back at the park we scurried around packing—checkout time was 11am and we were pushing it! We made a stop at the Wal Mart in Casa Grande before arriving in Maricopa at John and Brenda’s spot. We whiled away the afternoon sitting on their warm, wondrously sunny porch before leaving to have dinner at a fabulous Mexican restaurant in Maricopa—thanks John!
Tomorrow we will have the privilege of meeting fellow bloggers—looking forward to it and another Brenda meal!! For one non-social person and one sorta social person we sure are being social the last few days!!!
nice day for a hike..too bad about the wind though! enjoy the next 'meet and greet' and Brenda's food, of course!
ReplyDeleteLove those beautiful desert shots. Sounds like you're finding some sweet spots for a bit of socializing - enjoy :-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like this could be the Battle of the Fabulous Cooks in coming days. :)
ReplyDeleteWell now, we believe we do know whom the next 'meet and greet' folks were......! LOL
