At Home

IMG_9836That’s a big stick for such a little dog—you should hear Emmi—it sounds as if she is killing that stick!

IMG_9839We’ve had some gloriously beautiful days, very little wind and lots of sunshine.IMG_9841As you can see our driveway hasn’t melted much in spite of the sunshine.

Our daughter-in-law came home from the hospital last night and the hospice team is doing what they do best.  Michael and I have been over there for the last couple days and I’ve been doing what I do best—feeding our family.  We so much appreciate the prayers and thoughts expressed in your blog comments and emails.

  2. As soon as you mention "Hospice", that's a bit of a bad word in my circle of friends.
Tough times. Keep yourself busy, that's the only thing that helps ease the pain.

  4. Although I haven't met you, my heart aches for you. I lost my daughter to breast cancer 18 years ago and the pain never seems to leave. My prayers are with you and your family. I love your blog and it is through Al and Kelly that I became familiar with it.

  5. I'm so sorry to read about your daughter-in-law. We lost my DH's youngest brother to cancer this past summer, and yes, hospice is wonderful. Hugs.

  9. Catching up on my reading, and we are so sorry to hear such bad news. I can't imagine what your family must be going through. Having first hand experience last year with hospice for the first time, what a wonderful caring service these folks provide. I'll remeber you in my prayers tonight.

  10. Hospice is such a blessing for support. They were wonderful with our son-in-law. They said most people don't contact them soon enough. Praying for your family.

    Beautiful scenery:)

  11. There are no words. You do the best you can. You take in the sunrises and try to make sense of what cannot be understood. Breathe in, breathe out, put one foot in front of another, and you go on. It's all any of us can do.

Your county side is absolutely beautiful!
