Bye Bye Good Weather

We’ve enjoyed such good weather since coming home over a week ago—we are spoiled—it snowed today, not very much but it snowed.

Tuesday morning I went to yoga—yoga makes me happy, and it was so good to see my friends.  My poor aching body could tell I had not done yoga in a while!  Tuesday night we went over to Lonn and LoraLee’s—a sister and a sister-in-law are there this week and Laci was making dinner—hamburgers on the grill.  The cowboy decided that was preferable to the chicken I was going to feed him! Smile

My Mom had a total knee replacement in Arkansas Tuesday morning.  She is doing very, very well.  They have had her up walking and when I spoke with Mom a few minutes ago, she said she had experienced very little pain so far.  She sounded great and that’s a good thing!

In spite of the snow we got out today and took two walks up the hills into the hay pastures—good for the heart rate to say the least!!

Michael started working on a project—he is the keeper of his family’s history—old letters, photographs, journals—and has decided to put some order to all the “stuff.”  It will keep him busy while it snows!  I worked in the quilt studio today and enjoyed myself immensely!

That’s what we have been doing—I leave you with some sunset photos taken at Lonn and LoraLee’s the other night:

  1. The news in Houston is talking about dangerous weather conditions here coming soon. Guess they've never been to Montana!

  2. Fantastic photos! glad you had some down time to regroup and get into your quilting and Michael into the history stuff... Enough sadness in your family and nice to take a day to just "be" ....

  3. Beautiful sunset. So sad for your family situation, but glad that you are there, and able to maintain your lifestyle, while supporting others. Keep warm and dry....

  4. I'm so happy that your mom is bouncy back so nicely from her surgery!! Also take comfort in your time quilting...isn't it wonderful to have something like that to keep busy with!! Take care and stay warm!!

  5. Good your mom did well with her surgery:)

That sunset doesn't look real. So pretty!

  6. A friend of ours, much, much younger than your mom had knee replacement surgery too and the result was great. Hopefully the mild weather north from you (Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta) is keeping your temperatures reasonably warm too.

FYI: The T-Mobile SIM card in the iPad mini is useless in Yuma. It worked well in other places but not here. So, we activated the Virgin Mobile USB stick and that is providing some good internet connections and service.

  7. Glad to hear your mom's surgery went well. I'm starting water aerobics here in L. Havasu and it is really helping to get that last little bit of flexibility. Loved the photos of the sunset!!!

  8. Glad to hear your mom is doing well. Your pictures are beautiful but making me very cold; even though, we are having lows in the 20's.

  9. The weather might be just yucky, but your activities make it all tolerable. Then top it off with Yoga and a walk.......quite nice!

  10. Glad your mom's doing so well. Your photos of the sunset are beautiful!
