You know I’m struggling to find blog subject matter when I write about going to the dump! But when you have all this construction waste and someone tells you it’s “free dump days” at the local waste transfer site it’s exciting news!! We had a trailer full of construction waste from removing the wall and a portion of the kitchen cabinets plus I really, really trimmed the chinaberry trees.
On the way back from the dump Geri sent us a text inviting us for lunch—she had made chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles—delicious. While eating lunch outside we began discussing ATV rides and the decision was made to bag working for the day and go have some fun. We were only out for a couple hours but it was still fun—perfect weather! We journeyed to Jim and Ellie’s joining Mike and Pat plus Larry and Geri for happy hour in the late afternoon.
Sunday morning my phone was beeping at 7:30—seems Ms. Nancy wanted to ATV ride up the hill to Yarnell for breakfast—we were on our way by 8:30. The Ranch House in Yarnell serves the best breakfast—the pancakes are plate sized and delicious! Back home Michael puttered; I read and put dinner together—I tried a new recipe from the magazine Real Simple—Baked Spaghetti and Meatballs—it was really, really good and very easy! I tried to provide a link but as the recipe appears in the newest issue I couldn’t find it online as of yet.
Fred is world recognized for his bird house building abilities—he and Nancy brought us a house warming gift yesterday afternoon--
A bird condo! Notice the half chewed pine cone and the water value perch—it’s adorable! Thank you Fred!!
Tomorrow, November 2, is Color The World Orange day:
in support of those suffering from Complex Regional Pain Syndrome such as our friend Brenda Brown—her husband John wrote a fantastic post about the little known disease and it is well worth the read—wear some orange on November 2 and raise awareness about this awful disease!!
Thanks for the shout out and the orange.
ReplyDeleteMy mother loves going to the dump in northern NY and every Wednesday is "dump day!"
ReplyDeleteGood you are having some fun with all the remodeling:)
Love the condo birdhouse!
It was so hard to read about all of Brenda's pain. I can't imagine what each day must be like.
