There aren’t enough adjectives to describe the beauty and grandeur we saw today—simply amazing! Sarge and Sarah have been asking us to come over their way—near Emigrant, Montana between Livingston, MT and Yellowstone National Park—for some ATV riding. Little did we know they were taking us to the top of the world!!
This photo shows how narrow a ridge we were on at 10,020 feet!!! Friends of Sarge and Sarah—Bob and Kitsey accompanied us. It was Kitsey’s first ever ATV ride.
Can you believe this—who would have ever thought we could gain that much elevation—we climbed and climbed the switchbacks, crossed running creeks and kept climbing topping out at an amazing 10,020 feet (I’ve said that all ready, haven’t I?? ) This is an old mining area and there is a maze of crisscrossing roads.
We enjoyed our lunch in another breathtaking spot after coming down off the windy ridge—a lake as beautiful as Blue Lake and there weren’t a dozen people camped next to this one—we had it all to ourselves!!
It was a wonderful day spent in the company of great friends! We are so fortunate!
And now for the quilt giveaway—Paula, you are the winner of the quilt—if you will email me with your address, I will get that little quilt boxed up and sent to you! Congratulations! Thanks to all of you for your fantastic response to the giveaway!

ReplyDeletePretty quilt. I have made several bargello quilts with jelly rolls. Works really well and saves on some cutting.
ReplyDeleteThat path may have been just a little bit too narrow for me. But look at those views.
