Well, That Was A Really Dumb Move

I’ve waited impatiently all day for our new printer to arrive and at 6pm I went online, pulled up the tracking information and imagine my surprise when the UPS page stated, “delivered, left on porch.”  Uh,oh!!  This motorhome doesn’t have a porch! SmileI went next door to our neighbor’s who does have a porch, nope, no printer.  Came back inside and on Amazon.com realized my really, really dumb mistake!  I shipped the printer to Montana!!  I’ve been so careful to change my default shipping address every time I order something except this time I didn’t—GRRRR!  We have a wonderful UPS driver in Montana and as he knows our driveway is inaccessible he delivered my printer to Nat’s and left it on his porch!!  Now I have to figure out how to get it back to Arizona!

One of the reasons I was impatiently awaiting the arrival of the printer was this:

DSCN0295which did come today to Mike and Pat’s post office box in Congress.  I downloaded a free pattern and was waiting for the printer to come so I could print the dang thing—guess I will wait a while!  And oh, yes, we need to print tax forms!

Michael is still under the weather—congested, miserable—both of us have had very little sleep the last couple nights—UGH!

Were you all pleased with the results of the Super Bowl?? SmileAs you know we don’t have TV and we have very little interest in football but we did stream the last few minutes of the first half and the last heart breaking few minutes of the end.  Oh, well, next year!

One year ago today we lost our LoraLee—it does not seem as if it has been 12 months, time has helped but there is still a big hole where her presence used to be.  We miss you LoraLee—so very much!

  1. So dang sorry about your printer mix up! When I do something like that (which I do) I
generally beat myself up and relive the error over and over. Of course doesn't help. Lol
    Hope Michael is better soon.
I so enjoy your posts, every one of them!

  2. Not dumb at all Janna! I had one of our small bank accounts listed to pay our credit card for a one time payment. So..the next month, I hit the payment button. Waited for the payment to be withdrawn from our normal account...nothing! Hmmm...then a thought of horror hit me!!! Yep...overdrew the small account and racked up a sizable cost in fees!! The account had moved to default mode with just that one payment. Needless to say...I now pay attention to addresses and bank accounts :-)

  3. Well, at least you got your printer. Just happens to be in another State. I've come close to having things shipped to my sister-in-law's place after having sent her something a few years back. I finally just took out her address. That was the safest bet.
Mind you, it's only a little ways up the road.

  4. I made a similar silly mistake a few months back. Ordered a new phone and accidentally put in the address of an RV park in CA (I clicked the wrong address in Amazon). Took me weeks to clear that one up. I think you've used up your share of mistakes now...everything from here will go smoothly :)

  6. I did the same thing. Ended up shipping it to a friends house that I had previously sent a gift. We drove the 50 miles to their house as they were out of the country and the neighbors were suppose to be watching the house. There were all kinds of stories on the news about people stealing UPS packages. I was really scared about someone reporting us to the police.

  7. Living around the country makes getting package a problem at times. Amazon has so many addresses fro us that we frequently get the wrong address. Luckily, we have always caught it in time to go on and change it. The joys of life on the road:) Like Nina said, You are do for some mistake free days! Hope Michael feels better soon. Stay healthy, Janna:)

  9. sorry to hear about the printer..can you maybe order a new one and just return the one in Montana when you get home?
Love those yarn colours!..can't wait to see what you are going to knit?

  10. Oops! Might be easier to have Nat return it to Amazon and then reorder for AZ? The weather is warming up nicely so Michael needs to get over the yuckies so you can get out there and enjoy it!!

  11. That's a pretty easy mistake to make, Janna. Sorry to hear Michael is under the weather a bit - sure hope he's feeling better soon and able to get out and enjoy this great weather.
