Larry was born and raised in northern Minnesota not far from the Canadian border and Geri’s family moved to that same small town. Larry has lots of siblings and on Wednesday his sister Deb and her husband Merv came to visit. We’ve had a ball getting to know these people—just the most down to earth, nicest people, just like Larry and Geri! Thursday morning Larry and Deb’s cousin Greg with his wife Rosalyn joined us—they are work camping at Blake Ranch RV Park in Kingman.
Off we went, heading out across the desert on the ATVs with Box Canyon as our destination. It was a perfect weather day for an ATV ride—the river had way more water than we were expecting for this time of year.
Back home we all gathered at Larry and Geri’s for burgers on the grill and more visiting.
Saturday was the day for the North Ranch bi-annual yard sale. We sold a few things but purchased $$$ than we sold—that’s not the way it’s supposed to work is it?? Our bargain of the day was a brand new screen door for $5!
Tonight we joined Larry, Geri, Deb and Merv for dinner at the Tasty Freez in downtown Wickenburg—they are known for their pizza but as we had pizza last night Michael and I elected to have fish and chips. We caught a lot of grief for eating fish in the desert! The Tasty Freez is also known for its ice cream which of course we all had to have.
Life is good except for our howling dog!
Hi, I'm really enjoying your pictures of your trail rides. Do you have any trails that have the 50 inch width restriction? We'll be in Quartzsite in January and plan on doing a lot of riding. Just wondering about the narrower trails. Thanks, Max.
ReplyDeleteI've ridden Box Canyon on horseback, next time on the ATV.
ReplyDeleteAlways fun to have friends join in from out of state. Looks like good fun was had by all. Canyons with some water are the best :-)))
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun ride. We did it last year in the Jeep. Loved watching the ATV's plow through the water! Poor Emmi! She needs to join you all the time:)
