ATVers who must wear snowmobile pants, heavy jackets, wool caps, etc. should have better sense than to go ATV riding but that's what we did Saturday morning under cloudy, very chilly skies! Two unnamed Larry and Tom guys decided we needed to go exploring north of Yarnell. I think they forgot the elevation gain when you travel up the big hill--there was snow on the surrounding mountains!! (Blogger doesn't have the emotion option like Live Writer so imagine a smiley face!)
The topography certainly changes when you travel north above Yarnell--lots of live oak trees, less cactus and rocks.
We unloaded the ATVs and spent the day exploring the trails and roads just off the highway. Some of the trails were questionable--as in, "is this really a trail???"
You can just barely see the rigs hidden in the brush out in front of us.
By mid afternoon we had all had enough of fighting sticker bushes and dead ends--plus it was still cold and we headed for home--still a great day being outside!
The last cabinet went up Sunday afternoon--and the microwave. I am so lucky to have such a handy husband--we saved a tremendous amount of money by utilizing these used cabinets and I think they look great!!
Kitchen looks awesome. He sure is a "handy cowboy".
ReplyDeleteNice to protect the not so innocent riders:)
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen looks great, lucky to know such a handy guy. I love riding the ATV's, but cold does not agree with me, brrr. Becki

ReplyDeleteThe kitchen looks great!! Handy husbands are so nice to have around:)
ReplyDeleteAll that clothing reminds of our snowmobiling days. Sounds too cold to be ATVing. The weather sure has changed and not for the better. I see even Emmi had her winter coat on:)
The kitchen is looking great.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful kitchen. With recycled cabinets too yet (as my Mom would say). Your home looks beautiful, nice job!
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen looks too nice to use.
ReplyDeleteMakes my hand and nose cold just looking at those trails :-) But I'm sure it was still a lot of fun!! I forget that AZ has manzanita at the higher elevations, it is so pretty. The kitchen looks amazing, even more so given its humble, recycled beginnings.
ReplyDeleteYour kitchen looks great.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful ! Now you're ready for Christmas ! It's truly amazing what you can get when you're willing to shop around !! The cowboy is a "keeper "!
ReplyDeleteAll those cupboards could sure hold a lot of peanut butter.
