We have had awesome weather while here at home in Montana this trip—a little rain shower yesterday but otherwise it was blue skies and sunshine with warm temps.
I whipped up a batch of potato soup and we went over to Lonnie and LoraLee’s for lunch. I did make the guys a burger, too. The rest of the day I spent cleaning out the refrigerator and doing laundry—exciting, huh???
Michael worked on the cabinet doors for the Tin Tee Pee and late this afternoon I did get out there and paint the inside of some cabinets—that back breaking chore is now finished.
Rene—Our Ford F350 is a 2004 with a 6.0 diesel engine. At about 140,000 to 150,000 miles a common problem with this particular engine seems to rear its head—the injectors need replacing. This is not an inexpensive fix to say the least. Our fuel injection module (computer) is also bad. We also need a back pressure sensor—whatever the heck that is. Here in Montana we see these trucks with the 6.0 engine being almost given away on Craigslist with no takers.
We’ve had a wonderful time at home, tomorrow we get on one of those aluminum cans and head back to Texas.
Howdy J&M, & MEmmi
ReplyDeleteIs this the truck he 'drug' home last year, needing an engine?? Why did he put a 6.0 back in it??? Y'all must enjoy the airport 'investigation', as you fly about the country, every month or so!!! You should wear your 'new' swimsuit and be barefoot; scare'em a good'un!!!
Hope y'all have a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!
Thanks for the info on the 6.0 diesel engine. That is what I have in my truck. Yikes. I only have 55,000 miles....so I hope I am good for a few more years.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the last day and we wish you a good return flight back to the southern Texas.
Love the photo! We were so impressed with the Big Blue Skies of Montana...what a beautiful state! Fly safely!
ReplyDeleteHope that good weather in Montana holds on for another month til we get there. Have a good flight.
ReplyDeleteHave a good trip back to Texas. Hope Emmi's o.k. under the seat in front of you - poor little pup!! HOWEVER, just whisper "KENNEL" in her ear and she'll calm right down quick!!
