Beach Walking and Quilting

It just seemed like a good day for a walk on the beach.  The Jack St. Malo hull is due here any day and was supposedly anchored offshore and visible.  Nope, no hull yet.  But Emmi and I enjoyed the overcast morning—it was cooler—but didn’t make for good photos.

IMG_6699IMG_6700Leftover sand castles from the weekend.  There was hardly anyone on the beach today, a stark contrast to Saturday!

IMG_6701From our door to the beach can be less than 30 minutes if the ferries are operating well.  I had good luck today and was on the beach in about 25 minutes.  Emmi loves to chase the seagulls never even coming close but she doesn’t like the waves—doesn’t like getting her little feet wet!  Our previous schnauzer, Jazz, would chase the birds ending up in the water—I was always afraid the water might sweep her away so I am glad Emmi is a water wimp!

Back home I started on a project for myself, a gift for a special person—Gina kept me company working on more socks for those granddaughters.  I tease her and tell her those granddaughters have enough ribbon adorned socks to last them until high school graduation! Winking smileMom has found a group of ladies who gather to sew and quilt every Wednesday over in Rockport.

Dinner at the Thurston Café again tonight—chicken fajitas with grilled peppers and onions, delicious!!Thanks guys!!
