A Perfect Day In New Mexico

The aliens didn’t cart us off to their space ship last night and we all slept like logs.  We didn’t hear any aliens but we did hear coyotes and owls as we drifted off to sleep.

IMG_0065IMG_0069Nice view!  It was such a glorious morning we unloaded the ATVs after taking a walk and we were off.  It felt great to be back out in the desert and the sunshine was marvelous—we rode for about three hours just enjoying being warm!  Emmi is much, much better today, I think the sun helped toward healing those nasty infected lesions on her back!

IMG_0111Later in the afternoon we worked on getting organized—when you are getting ready to leave your home for several months you begin packing in an organized manner.  The last day you are just tossing stuff in the motorhome—it was time to sort all that “stuff!”  We also discovered a water leak in one of the bays while we were in Fort Collins.  Michael repaired the leak while we were there but today he removed all the stuff from that bay and let it dry in the sun.

Supper while we watched the sun go down—a perfect ending to a perfect day.

  1. Solid blue skies and a long quad ride seemed like a just reward after a couple of long, long travel days.

Glad to learn that Emmi is doing better, health wise.

    1. Yes, the sun does feel so wonderful! Mike's Dad said it's always good to leave Montana on a nasty, winter day then you remember why you are leaving! Well, we did have some nasty winter before we left!

  3. Ah yes, the healing of the sun and dryer air - you're right where you're supposed to be! Great pic of Mike and Emmi on the rocks, and those beautiful desert skies. With snow and veterinarians behind you now I can "hear" the relaxing in your words - have a great time out there :-)))
