Window and Motorhome Washing

OK, I’m done washing windows!  Finished up the ones on the shady side of the house this morning and then helped Michael clean off all the bugs we accumulated on the front of the motorhome.  There were millions of suicidal, huge bugs plastered all over the windshield and plexiglass shield that covers the entire front of the motorhome.

I made a new dish for lunch and Michael liked it!  Black beans with onion, garlic, and peppers seasoned with cumin and crushed red pepper flakes served over rice.  It was really good, a keeper recipe.

My quilting client who lives in Arkansas, Marti, sent me a wonderful quilting book, Bed and Breakfast Quilts, with a check for the last quilt I quilted for her inside—you gotta love those kind of clients!  The book not only has great patterns, it also has recipes!

I loaded Marti’s Thimbleberry Safe Haven quilt onto the frame today and quilted a little.  That is one huge quilt Marti!

Michael got the hitch finished for the JeepJeep and then puttered around rearranging the bins in the motorhome the rest of the day.  At Costco the other day we purchased a new propane grill—it has a very large cooking surface and two burners—he had to find a place to put it!

Late this afternoon I decided to mow the grass one more time—that is it, no more grass mowing for the season.

Another gorgeous Indian summer day in Montana.

  1. Nice looking Jeep & that white color will be great for beating off the hot Arizona sun's rays. We might have a hard time finding you if you ever get into a herd of white Buffalo while on Safari with the Sahara:))

  4. I actually make a recipe similar to your black beans and rice except I add chopped pimentoes, cilantro amd vinegar, thats right...white vinegar. It gives it a bit of zing.

  6. I'm a reader of your blog because I follow several RVers' blogs for the info and the description of this great country of ours. I'm a reader not a quilter. I do have an interest in quilting as my mother was one. What I wanted you to know is that I have just pull a book off my shelf to read by Ivan Doig. He sets his books in Montana and this one, Bucking the Sun, is a saga during the making of the Fort Peck Dam. You just traveled there so I want you to be aware of this book. I have read this author before and have enjoyed his writing. I'm looking forward to learning more about Montana through this book. We are campers. We have a 5th wheel and spend a lot of time in State Parks here in Nebraska. Thanks for your writing each day, I enjoy it.
P.S. Also we spend three months in Lake Havasu City, AZ each winter. You were there last year.
I liked all your entries on boondocking near Bouse.
