Refresh Day

The blessed wind howled most of the night, it was calm when we got up but the wind came back about 8am and stayed!  Today was our day to refresh the rig as in dump the holding tanks and take on fresh water at the Bouse Community Park.  Both the camp host at this park are so nice but the one couple is just very personable going out of their way to tell you about events and happenings in the community.

We did take a nice long walk before attacking the chores.  When we got back from the refreshing run we started in on the chores around here, vacuuming, dusting, getting rid of trash, etc.  The whole gang was coming here for supper and Michael was a big help today in getting ready.

I prepared one of my “company” menus for tonight’s dinner.  I marinated sirloin steaks in olive oil, rosemary and garlic all day then grilled the steaks, made garlic mashed potatoes, sautéed fresh asparagus and made a salad with tomatoes and feta cheese.  I even baked bread this afternoon.  For dessert we had angel food cake and fresh strawberries.  Oh, it was all so good!

That’s about all that happened around here today, just another great day with friends in the desert!

  3. What a refreshing new word for that task! From now on, I'll be thinking of refreshing my motorhome each week. :)
