Winter Is Here Again

BRRRRR—never above 30 degrees and it snowed off and on all day, little tiny flakes.  We were warm and toasty inside though, Michael had a roaring fire in the woodstove downstairs.  I spent the entire morning on the phone making appointments and arranging our increasingly busy schedule for the rest of the year.

Lunch was leftover pork tenderloin from yesterday with some added potatoes and other roasted vegetables—the cowboy ate his veggies, I roasted him some sweet peppers with onions and he was happy.

Michael burned some brush piles today as there was no wind and the ground is snow covered—no danger of fires around here right now!  I spent the afternoon in the quilt studio, catching up on chores such as ironing (ugh) and loading a quilt top onto the frame.

  5. Beautiful photo. Too bad the snow couldn't arrive in by morning, and be melted every afternoon!!! But we both know that's not to be. Stay warm!!!

  6. Beautiful pics, Janna, and you got Mike to eat his 'veggies' too... When you have a ROARING FIRE you have to go back outside and split more wood, in the snow !!!!
    Hope y'all have a HAPPY DAY !!!

  7. The thought of staying inside by a roaring fire sounds good to me. Looks like it's going to be a long winter in Montana.

  8. It's beginning to look a lot like winter is there to stay. A roaring fire seems fitting on days like this.

  9. I can hardly wait for snow. We always burn our brush piles when the snow flies!
    Keep warm and sew on!
