Last night about 7pm we took the jeep and drove up into our hay pastures—we can see over into one of the gulches which has loaded with chokecherry trees—we were on a bear finding mission. But the bears didn’t cooperate—dang it! All we saw was one ole grouchy bull on the neighbor’s place bellowing his stupid head off. After dark last night we did hear elk bugling, though!
Mother nature did treat us to a show while we were watching for bears:
It’s been a great birthday—we never eat a heavy breakfast but today seemed the day to have one—Michael made me bacon, eggs and blueberry pancakes (I made the pancakes, he cooked them)—it was delicious!!!
I’ve received birthday phone calls all day from my family and friends, beautiful cards from family and friends along with great presents!! I’m feeling a little spoiled! Tonight we are going to the Rib and Chop in Livingston for dinner with Sarah and Sarge.
I would say it’s been a fine birthday!
A lovely, auspicious day for sure. HappyBirthday!

ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! Seems Nature put on a show for you.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday. The Rib and Chop is sooo good. Did you have the storm tonight? That was probably the worse storm we have been through since we started full timing. Sure glad it's passed over and I don't think we have much damage.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the perfect birthday!! Wishing a year full of good things and best wishes!
