We are so spoiled—the weather today was perfect and I shouldn’t brag because the little Weather Bug on our blog said the temp was 5 degrees back home in Montana this morning!
Finally got out of the rig about 9am and took a nice, long walk in the desert. The desert in Bouse was in all stages of turning green, some of the ocotillo were totally green and had the red blossoms on the end of each stem. Here in Congress where the elevation is about 2500 feet, the desert isn’t greening-- but the landscape is still gorgeous.
About noon we headed into Wickenburg, I had found someone to cut my hair and made an appointment for 1pm. We had hoped to have lunch first but that didn’t happen. After the haircut we made it to our favorite Wickenburg restaurant, Anita’s. I had fish tacos that were so good! Michael had his usual, chilies rellenos.
Safeway was our next stop and I think the whole town of Wickenburg was there, Mike and Pat say the store is always that busy. We enjoyed happy hour with Mike and Pat then I made Michael drag out the ladder and I got busy washing the front windshield windows. Then I attached the exterior sun screens—the front of the rig faces east and this will help with the sun heating up the rig in the early morning.
We are still full from that wonderful lunch so took a walk around the park looking at all the inventive ways people build small homes here at North Ranch and the way they landscape.
Tucked inside now on the computers listening to the doves and coyotes with our windows open, yes, we are spoiled!

ReplyDeleteWith March here, the weather is definitely improving all thru the southwest. Sounds like you've got it pretty good there right now.
