Goodbye and Hello

We said our goodbyes to Jim and Linda this morning, we had a great visit with them.  Linda's sign Linda’s sign for their home in Tombstone, “El Rancho Hacienda.”

Pulled into the Pima County Fairgrounds about noon and found a spot.  Our understanding was the RV spots here only had water and electric—but no, we are uptown tonight, we have a full hookup site!!  I can get the dog and the rig all cleaned before we take off for the desert tomorrow.

We made a Wal Mart run after we settled in stocking up with groceries for our trip to the desert.

Tonight we headed over to Voyager RV Park to have dinner with long time friends Jeannine and Garnet from Vancouver Island.  Garnet was one of our shooting buddies when we participated in Cowboy Action Shooting and we became good friends.  Jeannine and Garnet have been to our place in Montana on their motorcycle and we have been to their home on Vancouver Island.  Garnet recently suffered a major heart attack but is recovering well.  They have exciting plans to sell their park model in Tucson and purchase a home on a golf course in Mesa.  Jeannine prepared a wonderfully healthy meal and we ate then had a great visit.

When we were all shooting together they had the greatest dog, Kallie—a chow.  Kallie had the best disposition and tolerated our other little schnauzer Jazz so well.  Kallie died this past spring and this fall Jeannine and Garnet got Jewel, a 3 year old shih-tzu.  Jewel did not think much of the little black whirlwind that invaded her home tonight, kind of like that other shih-tzu we know, Zoey!

Another great day of retirement!
