Google Problems Anyone

This is the first screen I see when opening my computer--

IMG_9925When I open another tab from this screen I get this:

IMG_9923The white tiles at the bottom of the screen are normally filled with websites I use often such as Facebook, our local news station and our local newspaper plus other sites such as this blog.  Websites come and go from those tiles depending on the frequency with which I visit those websites.  Well—there is a gremlin in my computer—the last few days, sites have been disappearing from those tiles with regularity!!  One morning I open up the computer and every tile is white—nothing—then the next morning I might have two of the files occupied.  Weird!!

And has anyone had issues with comments on their blogs—my comments are not appearing in Gmail any longer—sometimes not at all, sometimes after they are all ready posted to the blog.  And it seems the number of comments is down—am I just boring or is something going on with ole Google???

After lunch I headed to town for some errands—and was back in a couple hours.  Michael puttered the day away—when I got home he made some popcorn and proceeded to try and trounce me at cribbage.  He won the first game and I barely squeaked out a win in the second.

A sunset walk netted us some gorgeous photos:

Emmi gets cold feet—the snow packs up in side the pads of her feet and she hobbles around three legged with a pathetic look on her face.  When it is really cold as in below 20 degrees, she wears the socks I made her.  When we went out this afternoon late, it was 21 degrees and I left off the socks but she still got cold feet making the cowboy feel sorry for her!

  1. That sunset was really neat!

Have you tried sprinkling nutritional yeast on popcorn instead of cheese and salt. It is so yummy and tastes salty without any sodium.

I've been commenting every time. Hope they are coming through.

  2. My Google and blogger seem to be working okay. I haven't made a post in a long time (doing nothing to post about) so haven't noticed anything about comments. I'm glad Michael took pity on Emmi. It's still cold out there.

  3. The next time you go to the 'new tabs' page just click in the top right-hand corner of one of the icons to delete it. Then look at the bottom of the page and you'll see the words "restore all". Click on that and you should get all your old icons back.

Not sure about the comments and email as I haven't noticed any changes.

  4. I can empathize with Emmi. My feet would be cold too!

  5. I had a habit of always reading comments as they came into my Hotmail account. Comments were getting less last summer until I discovered not all comments were making it into my Hotmail. I posted about that at the time & switched to reading comments on my blog only & not Hotmail. Then I noticed the same thing with Gmail. And I see it every day now. If there are 10 comments on my blog only about half make it to either Hotmail or Gmail. I don't know how long this problem existed before I noticed it last summer but I'm sure I missed a lot of comments over a period of time. My recommendation is for folks to read their comments in their posts only. Don't rely on all of them to show up in your Hotmail or Gmail accounts even though you may have it set up that way.

  6. I haven't had any of those issues you are experiencing. I can't offer any suggestions. Rick's idea should bring a positive resolution though. Good luck with that.

  7. Its not anywhere near April 1, otherwise I would think the gremlin was playing an April Fools joke on you. Love the photo of Michael carrying Emmi
