Seven degrees this morning and the temp never rose above 16 degrees all day. We both used the treadmill for exercise delaying Emmi’s walk until after lunch when it was at least a touch warmer. It snowed during the night, too, another 2-3 inches.
Today we stayed home, Michael is working on re-upholstering the VW seats and I quilted almost finishing my “bunny quilt.” It’s adorable! I still have to place some kind of motif in the center of each bunny bottom half as those areas are too large to leave un-quilted. I’m leaning toward a “heart” but can’t find my correct sized heart ruler—it has sprouted legs and disappeared.
Homemade pizza for lunch and haven’t decided if we are even having supper! The cowboy might have to fend for himself which will mean we have popcorn—he is a wonderful popcorn cook! And you know, the guy was a cook in the army—what happened to all those skills he learned???
And I think that’s it for our cold Thursday.
Heh heh Steveio just made popcorn! (but we did have supper first)
ReplyDeleteYour bunnies are adorable! yes, a heart would go good... or a puff of wool fleece for each tail and make it look like each is a silhouette positioned backwards?

That's a cute idea Karen but the bunnies will have each have two buttons on their fronts--I always wait until a top is quilted to sew on embellishments so I don't run over the buttons, etc. with the longarm.
DeleteYour latest quilt is adorable. Hubby does hamburgers if he's in charge of the kitchen!!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable quilt!!
ReplyDeleteI love popcorn for dinner, especially when I make kettle corn.
The quilt is so cute. Great job!
ReplyDeleteWe love popcorn! I put nutritional yeast on it the other night instead of grated cheese. It was fantastic and without the salt, fat, and calories.
If you'd been in the Army, you would understand why he does not cook. Yuck. And especially with someone like you around that really seems to know your way around he kitchen. :O)

ReplyDeleteThe bunnies are adorable. I like Karen' s idea of adding a puffy tail. Stay warm! Becki
ReplyDeleteI think Mike much prefers your prowess in the kitchen over his! Those outdoor temperatures at home would keep us indoors too.....!
ReplyDeleteLooks COLD. Good looking quilt. Are we going to get to see the new VW seats?
ReplyDeleteIt is a lot harder to cook for two. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree that your quilt and its colors are terrific !! Do you do quilting for others, cause your quilting is wonderful ??
ReplyDeleteWhy is the body of the bunny too large to leave unquilted??Are the new thin quilt battings only for the close quilting done on a longarm? I have asked Jo at joscountryjunction but she didn't address this either. I am at ruthwheel@gmail.com.
