Proud Grandparents

Attachment-1That we are, very proud of Laci who graduated from Airmen Leadership School last night in Great Falls, MT and was also given the Commandant Award during the ceremonies!!  Pretty good for a little blond girl from Montana!!

It rained cats and dogs today, it poured as it can only in Texas!  It was raining so loud Mom and I couldn’t hear ourselves talk in the quilt studio.  During the worst of it Mom had a hair appointment in Aransas Pass—we both were a little damp by the time we arrived.  The inside lane of the streets was full of water, water everywhere!

I made great progress on Jane’s lonestar today, beautiful progress I might add!!

Mom is using her bicycle, as Emmi and I were doing our laps around the RV park we happened upon Grandma riding her bicycle this morning:

Mom & bicycle

Made chicken tetrazzini for dinner tonight—Mom came to get some for their dinner and Rollie joined us.  Delicious!

  1. Congratulations to Laci! What a great accomplishment for her. Mom's looking good on her bike.

I guess that rain is heading over here to Alabama, they say it will be here after midnight, guess I'll go take a nap now since we probably won't be sleeping once it arrives!

    See you soon.....

  3. That was an accomplishment well deserved by Laci.

Rain? Kind of reminds us west coasters of why we scoot to the southwest desert in the winter.

    Howdy Proud G-parents,
Laci may be a colonel by the time her 4 years are up!!! I'd take orders from her, any day!!! Did you and the pups hurt your mom, when you ran into her?? She looks good on that bike, it's GREAT exercise for her and easy on her feet!!! You know walking on hillsides will make your ankles & feet hurt!!! hee hee My cuzzin at West Fork, AR, had to use dirt-bikes to herd cattle; it was too steep for hosses!!
Joyce's cuzzin at Rockport, said she nearly 'warshed' away yesterday; she's only 6' above sea-level!!!
Rollie's really getting his money's worth; catered meals while g-ma Gina's gone!!!
