A Hurry, Scurry Day

Emmi and I took our usual walk around the park this morning—no fog today.  I worked on the custom project I am doing then was off to take Angel and Zoey to the doggie groomer leaving Ms. Emmi home alone-0oh no!!

I decided to try my skills navigating over to Corpus Christi this afternoon after dropping Angel and Zoey off.  I printed some Google maps and was off—geez there sure were a lot of people out shopping this afternoon!!  I managed to find all five of my stops without getting lost!!!  Or run over!!!  Hobby Lobby was an absolute zoo—every cashier station was open and there were at least five people lined up at each.  JoAnn’s was deserted compared to Hobby Lobby!  Walked right up to a cashier at Target then hit Spec’s—a large liquor and gourmet food store found all across Texas.  The customer service provided in that store could be a lesson to many, many other stores.  I had no less than three guys helping me select wine, the employees seemed to like their jobs—it was a good experience to say the least.  On to Sam’s Club, my final stop for the afternoon.

I was back over in Aransas Pass by 3pm and just as I was unloading the jeep while listening to Emmi tell me how rough her day was, the cell rang and it was the groomer telling me I could come pick up the Christmas girls:

Zoey was tired, she wanted no part of photo taking, “just let me inside that air conditioned RV please and thank you!”  But aren’t they adorable with their Christmas colored bows!

Michael also came home a little early today—yea!  For dinner we had a first—pizza ordered and paid for online!  Delivered to the door of our motorhome!!  IMG_5509

It’s the weekend and Michael is home for two days—a good thing!

  2. It is good to catch up with you. That pizza looks fabulous. I love seeing your stories and photos of Montana, but really love reading about Texas since my daughter is there, working in San Antonio and her sweetie is down in Corpus now. She talks about Aransas a lot and loves that part of Texas. Of course, she is busy working so I don't get the photos and such that I can see on your blog. So I guess it is a double thank you. I get to read about your quilting and fun stuff and also see where my daughter is living.

  7. That was a productive day you had. Can't beat good service and, like you, I lament poor - or no - service. The little dogs appear ready for Santa.
