Heading To Billings

Our plans were to head to Billings early this morning but life had other plans!  We took Ms Emmi for a walk so she would be a little tired out for the babysitter—Nat--then headed into town.

First stop was the clinic to get copies of the labwork Michael had done yesterday.  The clinic was to have called the results to us yesterday—they didn’t.  A quilting friend was in the lobby of the clinic and we were visiting while Michael requested his labwork copies.  When we got out to the truck I looked at the tests and said, “wait a minute, the most important test isn’t here.”  Back inside I go and yes, thank goodness, the test was done but the paperwork wasn’t in place yet—I did get copies of ALL the tests finally before we left.

Off to Billings—first stop was Billings RV to get some leak stopping items for the Tin Tee Pee.  They don’t stock the refrigerator part we need but Michael is thinking one he has on hand might work, if not we will order.

Then a much needed lunch—burger for Michael and Rueben sandwich for me at Jake’s—YUM!!!  On to JoAnn’s.  The JoAnn’s Fabric and Craft store in Billings is moving into a new location late July which will significantly increase the square footage, Smile.  In the meantime the current store is a mess—everything is at least 33% off, picked over, non-existent and the store was packed with people looking for bargains!  All I wanted was some black muslin--score, black batting—strike out, and refills for my chalk marking pen—strike out.

We struck out trying to buy steel for another of Michael’s projects—seems Big Sky Steel moved their retail location to way out in Lockwood.  Guess we will have it delivered.

On to Costco where we bought a truck load of groceries—lots of fresh produce—watermelon, raspberries, strawberries, cherries—yep, they had cherries today.  We should be eating well for a while!

Last stop, whew, was Wal Mart where we struggled around the store with what felt like a flat tire on our shopping cart.  When we got to the cashier, Michael went and got another cart saying he didn’t think he could push that other one all the way out to the truck.

IMG_3661I know you all get tired of looking at the same old mountains but this is what we see in the summer here in Montana and we never get tired of looking at it.

A pretty good day in Montana, beautiful weather!

  1. How could you possibly get tired of that view. Even though my heart seems to be in the desert there is still nothing prettier than the Mountains in Montana. We are eating cherries also. Too many of them. lol
