He Came Back

The next time Emmi starts growling, the hair stands up on her back and it is almost dusk, I am taking a camera to the door with me when I let her out.  Her favorite place to be is right beside Michael in the recliner or in his lap with his laptop shoved off to the side.  Last night it was almost dark when she sat up looked up towards the kitchen windows and started growling then became very frantic to go out.  When she gets that frantic I am careful about letting her out—it could be anything from a deer to a skunk to a bear.  When I opened the back door, Emmi went bounding out barking like a banshee—I looked up and there he was, a bear standing up looking at me and me with no camera.  Emmi’s barking must have bothered him so over the hill he went.  We sure are seeing a lot of bears this summer!

We had planned on going to Billings to look at RVs but changed our minds this morning and decided to stay home.  I quilted a cute little “rooster/chicken” table runner for Marti back in Arkansas.

After lunch we picked up the mail (we only get mail 3 days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and the title for the motorhome which we had not signed correctly was there sent to us by the new owner.  So, off to town and to visit our great small town bank manager who got everything straightened out with the title.  A couple more errands and some groceries then home.

Aunt Marg and Marti, I sent you a package of quilts today.  To my readers out there, Aunt Marg might be willing to sell this quilt:Aunt Margs 1930's

We are excited—we may have found a motorhome—Karen and Steve—it is a Safari Continental, located in Spokane, WA.  I spoke with the dealer today and he sent us a lot of photos of the inside and outside.  It is a 1993, a little older than we would like but it fits our pocketbook—we can pay cash.  We have dear friends in Spokane who have a wonderful guest suite and we haven’t seen them in a while—we just may be taking a road trip.
