Packed up and headed on to Quartzsite to meet up with Rick and Judy who had stayed an extra night in Las Vegas. We are now boondocking on BLM land on Plomosa Road north of Quartzsite. Out in the desert, no lights, no neighbors with the exception of Rick and Judy and no road or railroad noise--perfect!
Our perfect little spot overlooks the town of Bouse.

Rick and Judy have a wonderful yellow lab named Biscuit who six months ago had a litter of 11 puppies. The puppies are all being raised as service dogs and Rick and Judy have one of the puppies they are training to be a service dog--what a responsibility! Rick has a list of commands this dog must know by the time it is two years old--he loves training dogs and I have gotten some of my helpful hints about Emmi training from him.
I'm cooking burgers and taters on the grill--our first real home cooked meal out on the road. And to our Montana friends--the weather is perfect--70 degrees and sunny today.
Yay 70*....We are so glad you guys made it through the Las Vegas crowds and are safely in the desert with great weather. If plans come together, we will be on to Arizona by mid-Feb. or early March. We have hitch itch pretty bad...Hugs to you both and an extra one for Emmi and her duck...:)...See You Soon..
ReplyDeleteAw yes, Quartzite.....we remember it well:)) Been there 3 times but always docked south of town about 6 miles.
ReplyDeleteGosh... 70 degrees and sunny! Do you know how GOOD that sounds to us??? Love it that you are boon-docking- our kind of camping!
