Sixteen degrees below zero early and a high of zero today--what's with this weather??? And to make it even more miserable, the wind howled all day!! We tried to take a walk about 4pm and didn't get far before we all froze out--your skin starts to hurt and so do your fingers even with gloves on. Simply miserable!
Jane came to rent the longarm today and was able to get a small quilt completely finished. Jane's husband Doug is a native of Big Timber and went to school with Michael. Jane is one of those perfection quilters--that made it easier to get her quilt finished in one session.
After Jane left I worked on some party invitations and got another quilt for Marti loaded onto the frame. This quilt is the last one I have promised to have ready before Christmas so I am doing extremely well!! I will be able to finish it tomorrow and get it in the mail probably Friday. I have another couple of wall hangings for a Big Timber customer that I would like to have ready before we leave but they are custom quilting jobs and I just may not get there!
Mom called this afternoon and she made it to Florida with no problems. She flew down to visit her friend Chuck who is visiting his brother and sister-in-law. Mom hasn't ever been to Florida.
Sunset on the snow--taken on our very short walk this afternoon.
Ribs for supper tonight, yum!
The sunset on snow is just beautiful!
