We Started Our Ark Today

Yesterday was a nice day, sun and clouds, pleasantly warm.  Would it be too much to ask to have two or three days in a row like that??  Oh, no, when I got up this morning it was raining and thundering.  The sun did come out for a while and I decided to go ahead and plant the garden in the rain and mud.  As I write this, it is pouring rain again, probably beating all my little plants to death!  I also managed to get the grass mowed in between rain showers.

Michael worked on the carrier he bought yesterday for the little convertible.  He built a bracket that attaches to the frame of the car and the aluminum carrier sits out from the bumper—it will give us a little room to haul something such as groceries or a suitcase!

I planted the garden, pulled weeds in the flower beds and mowed and weed whacked.  I am dragging!

Getting ready to head over to Livingston to quilt guild—tonight is the guild’s silent auction—maybe I’ll come home with some fun stuff??

That damn little dog Emmi roared out of the house early this morning and the “chicken” was in her yard—poor bird, it is probably saying, “that damn little black dog!”  It was also having a hard time staying upright on that metal roof.

  1. With that metal roof...do you hear the rain like you do in an RV? I am much more aware of the weather in my rig than I was in a sticks 'n bricks. :) I think you can "feel" the weather more.
